The Stennis International Airport is a private airport in Waveland, MS that is comprised of a 20,000 SF hangar and a 15,000 SF terminal with a future hangar planned for 2013. My responsibilities included research, SD, DD, production of construction documents, bidding, review of shop drawings, and project manager during first five months of construction. Rendering done with kerkythea out of sketch-up out of Revit.

The mirrored angled glazing of the terminal has a contemporary feel and is modeled after the look of air traffic control towers. The terminal will have leaseable office space, a restaurant, small theater, and a rentable meeting room. The hangar is clad in a variety of metal panels and has private offices and carports for the hangars leasees.

A view of the lobby. The airport intends to utilize the lobby as a museum space with full length wall murals and scale models of millitary aircraft.

View from the tarmac.

An early rendering of the restaurant.
